Standards Tool For Companies To Adopt Standards Supporting Their Industry 4.0 Transformation
Standards Tool For Companies To Adopt Standards Supporting Their Industry 4.0 Transformation
Developed by the Singapore Standards Council, overseen by Enterprise Singapore, together with industry experts, the Standards for Industry 4.0 tool will guide companies on using the right standards to support their implementation of Industry 4.0 solutions.
The Standards for Industry 4.0 tool is aligned to the Economic Development Board’s (EDB) Smart Industry Readiness Index (SIRI) Prioritisation Matrix. This online tool features 13 digital solutions generally applicable to enterprises’ Industry 4.0 journey. The tool provides links to more than 70 relevant international and national standards, industry use-cases on effective applications of standards, and training courses by local institutes of higher learning. Collectively, these resources will equip companies and users with industry best practices in areas including connectivity, cybersecurity, and the adoption of new technologies such as robotics and additive manufacturing.
The toolkit was enhanced last year, as a response to Covid-19, to include critical resilience standards (e.g. SS ISO 22301 on Business Continuity Management, SS ISO 27001 on IT Management Systems, ISO 28000 on security management for supply chain) that helps manufacturing companies build up their organisational resilience.
